FTL Systems innovates, volume manufactures, sells, and supports the leading edge of advanced technology products for free world customers. We strive to both make a better world and fairly enrich our shareholders, customers, suppliers, and employees.
FTL Systems was founded in 1995 as an Anglo/American Corporate Group in the United Kingdom (Gosport, Hampshire) and the United States (Rochester MN, Research Triangle Park, NC and the Bay Area in California). The founding team came from IBM, Philips, GE, ICL, Sun and Zycad. We were all leaders on a variety of prior business, technical and engineering / scientific computer systems at the leading edge of each market niche. They had a driving interest in defining a new generation of high end business and technical computer systems. Initial products focused on electronic design automation software based on VHDL and VHDL-AMS.
FTL Systems started with military contracting in the US and Europe. Since 2009 we have been shifting over to a 100% commercial model, excluding military goods. The corporation transitioned into a commercial, direct- sale, world-wide marketplace. We added product lines tightly centered on a few core technologies, manufacturing processes and customer communities such as:
As part of the transition, FTL Systems BV (Netherlands) was setup in 2014 as headquarters of a new FTL Systems Corporate Group. We are consolidating our business operations in the Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland. We focus on European, Asian and African markets where there is strong demand and minimal direct competition.
Research, development and core manufacturing became vertically integrated from application and system software all the way to designing and manufacturing most of our components. This was essential to reduce trade risks.
A leading edge semiconductor and superconductor manufacturing plant became a critical infrastructure focus. Doing this internally enables co-developing the products and fabrication processes to achieve maximum results. Most of the critical equipment depends on German, Dutch, French and Swiss vendors.
Company leadership has significant experience with precision, high volume, autonomous, cognitive robotics. Rather than hire a large number of (unavailable) manufacturing workers, the internal manufacturing and test operation is robot intensive. At some point in the future these robots may become a product sold to third parties. They depend very tightly on the unique properties of our processors and computers.
FTL Systems Inc. in the United States has distinct ownership and exists solely to import market, perform final manufacture, resell, and support products from the FTL Systems Corporate Group into the US market.
After more than 20 years in global business, we strategically plan with the intent to grow and prosper as an independent Corporate Group. This critically provides customers with stability they can build their businesses on to cultivate customers for life.
